Need a new place to stash your dice? Or maybe a fun place to stash your trinkets? Perhaps your sewing supplies? If you prefer the clean look or to do your own decorating, then either of these book boxes is the perfect choice to do any of those things!

It turns out, if you put enough slices in solid materials, you can make them bend and flex, it’s called a living hinge! Now you can experience this neat bit of science and design with your own book box! Laser cut from 1/8″ pine plywood, the small book box has a simple clip mechanism to keep the lid closed and the large book box has a sliding lock making either one the perfect place to store a variety of things.

Large, latching book box dimensions:
- Outer: ~7 3/4″ l x 6 3/4″ w x 1 5/8″ d
- Inner: ~7 1/8″ l x 5 1/4″ w x 1 3/8″ d
Small book box dimensions:
